Rooted in Story: the Why behind the work
Julian Studios LA was built from lived experience.
Founded by Los Angeles–based content strategist, creator, and photographer Christina Deshomme, Julian Studios LA exists at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and social impact. As a former foster youth, single mother, and parent of a child on the autism spectrum, Christina understands firsthand what it means to navigate systems that often overlook the communities most deserving of support, visibility, and care. Those experiences became the foundation of a creative studio dedicated to helping brands, nonprofits, and community-centered organizations tell stories that feel deeply human, emotionally honest, and impactful.
The vision for Julian Studios first began while Christina was living in Houston, where she became a finalist for Black Girl Ventures in 2022. At the time, the concept was still evolving. But after returning home to Los Angeles to access better support systems and resources for her son, the vision for Julian Studios LA resurfaced with greater clarity and purpose. What once existed as a creative concept began transforming into something larger: a community-centered storytelling infrastructure rooted in representation, access, and empowerment.
Through photography, creative direction, digital storytelling, and brand strategy, Julian Studios LA creates work designed to foster connection, trust, and emotional resonance in an increasingly disconnected digital world. Since 2019, Christina has collaborated with nationally recognized brands and organizations including Walmart, Sam's Club, Old Navy, SheaMoisture, Crayola, Brooklinen, Cottonelle, State Farm, Paramount+, Black Girl Sunscreen, Proudly, amika, Topicals, Touchland, American Girl, Ninja, and Shark — creating campaigns and visual storytelling rooted in authenticity and emotional connection.

As a contributor to Stocksy United, Christina’s work has also been recognized for its originality, artistic integrity, and emotionally driven storytelling. Julian Studios LA is also being shaped through real-world partnerships and case study work, including collaborations with emerging brands such as Juicy Little Society, where storytelling, audience positioning, and emotionally aligned branding are explored through a community-centered lens.
But Julian Studios LA was never meant to be just a creative studio.
It was designed as infrastructure — a space where storytelling, strategy, and community empowerment could exist together.
In addition to creative services, Julian Studios LA is being developed to support foster youth, neurodivergent families, single-parent households, and emerging creatives through mentorship, storytelling initiatives, digital skill-building, and accessible creative opportunities.
At its core, Julian Studios LA believes storytelling has the power to reshape narratives, strengthen communities, and create meaningful change. Every project is approached with intention, emotional honesty, and a commitment to creating work that makes people feel seen.
This is more than content creation.
It is storytelling with purpose.
